Long considered a “Holy Grail” piece among Masters collectors, this is the so-called "Permanent" Mastrs Trophy. It is a large, oversize Masters Trophy that has achieved a great deal of fame in collecting circles.
Typical Masters Trophies that are awarded to winners of the Masters Tournament stand about 6" tall, are 13.5" wide, and weigh a little less than 20 pounds. This Masters Trophy, however, is over 10" tall, 21" in diameter, and weighs over 45 pounds! That's right, it's over double the size of a standard Masters Trophy.
Simply put, this trophy is special. This large Masters Trophy is engraved with every Masters Champion and Runner-up through 2000. Supposedly it was originally produced for a planned museum in Augusta, Georgia, but that never museum materialized. We have included a copy of a 2010 document from Augusta National's attorney specifically declining ANGC's first right of refusal to purchase this trophy.
Whether it ends up in a museum or in a private collection, it will certainly be a highlight piece for years to come.
This large Masters Tournament trophy measures an impressive 21 ½” in diameter, stands 10" tall, and tips the scales at over 45 pounds.
