During Bobby Jones' illustrious amateur career, numerous golf items, advertisements, and even golf trophies appear to have mimicked Jones' likeness without identifying him or portraying him perfectly so that they could escape the possible legal ramifications. We frequently run into this issue here at Green Jacket Auctions when a piece of memorabilia "looks like" Bobby Jones, but may not hold the same value as one endorsed by Jones during his life. 

This trophy from 1934, after Jones' retirement from golf, is perhaps one of the first trophies that we can unquestionably say is Bobby Jones himself. The clothes, the stance, the hair, the face - it all makes it abundantly clear that you are looking at a trophy of Bobby Jones.
