Rare early 1900s Handel tobacco humidor with a hinged lid. Early hand painted golf scene. Though many Handel pieces are unmarked, this humidor has a readable "Handel" maker's mark on the bottom. Per Sprung’s book, Decorative Golf Collectibles, the company was founded in Meriden, Connecticut in 1885, and was incorporated in 1903. 8" x 8".
