What a find!

Offered here is an original circa 1932 booklet titled Bobby Jones Golf Course by Alister MacKenzie. The booklet also contains a section titled Historical Sketch of Fruitlands - Home of the Augusta National Golf Club by LA and PJA Berkmans.

The content of this booklet is mesmerizing. In Alister MacKenzie's own writing he outlines all 19 (yes, 19!) holes at Augusta National Golf Club. That planned 19th hole by Alister MacKenzie was a 90 yard hole so that golfers had one more chance to catch up with their bets. Alister MacKenzie notes that the idea came from Clifford Roberts and Grantland Rice. Now, as we all know, that fabled 19th hole at Augusta National Golf Club was never built, but it's still special to reach MacKenzie's details about what could have been.

16 pages, very good condition. Measures 3 3/4" x 9".
