This is an actual contestant badge from the 1926 US Women's Amateur at Merion Golf Club that was won by Helen Stetson. Stetson's victory at Merion came in the middle of Glenna Collett's era of domination in women's golf when she won the Amateur 6 times. The Stetson-Goss final was dubbed "Mothers' Day at Merion" by famed writer O.B. Keeler, as both finalists were married mothers that outlasted their younger 

This badge would have been issued to one of the women who competed in the 1926 US Women's Amateur. More specifically, golfer entrant #107, as this badge still contains its original celluloid tag identifying the player number.
