Offered here is a scarce original photograph of famed course designer Alister Mackenzie at his crowning achievement - Cypress Point Golf Club. In this photo, Mackenzie gazes out at the players on the 15th green. This photo was taken by the legendary Del Monte photographer J.P. Graham, who is responsible for many of the best early images of Cypress and Pebble. This photo dates to approximately 1928, shortly often Cypress Point opened for play. The original wire slug on the reverse describes how Cypress Point was going to be used as one of the tournaments for the California Amateur Championship. The slug gives photo credit to J.P. Graham, and the photo itself contain an original J.P. Graham photography studio stamp.
