The rarity and beauty of this 5 ¾” tall, blue Pre-Lenox CAC (Ceramic Art Company) Porcelain Stein cannot be overstated, as it was crafted circa 1896-1906. Per Sprung’s book, Decorative Golf Collectibles, “Walter Scott Lenox founded the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, NJ in 1889, but Lenox assumed complete control around 1895. In 1906, the name was changed to Lenox China Company.”

Blue steins like this example are far more rare than green, and this is in nice condition. The pictures cannot possibly capture the beauty of the deep blue color. We've seen a few of this stein with a male golfer, but this is what we believe to be the rarer version - a lady golfer with male golfer looking on. Bold CAC maker’s mark on the bottom.
