Francis Ouimet changed the future of golf in America with his victory at the 1913 US Open over Harry Vardon and Ted Ray. But Ouimet himself considered perhaps his greatest legacy to be the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, which he founded in 1949 and still thrives today - providing college scholarships to golf course employees.
According to the donation letter accompanying this book, this autographed copy of Francis Ouimet's Game of Golf was personally handed to a scholarship recipient circa 1966. The book contains a high grade autograph of Francis Ouimet. The book is being sold today to raise money for the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund.
